Getting some birth on 2nd October, 1949 Annie Leibovitz in Westbury she joined in San Francisco Art Institute as she was interested to learn about painting. However, gradually she started getting interest on photography much more and finally she changed the course of her study.
How Annie Leibovitz started her journey:
In the year 1970 she got a job in the Magazine called ‘Rolling Stone’ which started its journey just. She became the chief photographer of that magazine and remained in the post from 1973 to 1983. In that time she created an own style of photography and that later became famous as Annie Leibovitz photography.
The elaborately staged setting and some of the most unusual poses she used became unique and she also used some of the exquisite bright primary colors in her photography which also became popular. At that time she took the photographs of some celebrities also like the group of Beatles. Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and many more celebrities where included in her 142 cover shots.

She took two popular snaps of Whoopi Goldberg being naked and Demi Moore being naked and pregnant. She also published her first book like Annie Leibovitz Photographs. She started doing commercial work in the year 1986. Her clients for such type of work were American Express, Honda, and The Gap etc.
Olympic portraits:
Susan Sontag and she met each other when they worked for AIDS and its Metaphors. The first meseum exhibit of Annie Leibovitz photography happened in 1991 at National Portrait Gallery in Washington and then it got the tour for six years. In the year 1996 she became an official photographer of Atlanta Olympic. She took the snaps of many athletes during their training and published a book called Olympic Portraits. Some of the greatest athletes like Michael Johnson and Carl Lewis were also in that list.
In the year 1999 Annie Leibovitz photography got its popularity again with the new book called women where she published the snaps of women featuring the essay of Susan Sontag. In the year 2008 her name was again in a controversy when she published a photo of Miley Cyrus in ‘Vanity Fair’.
In that photograph the celebrity was only wrapped with a sheet and her bare back was towards the camera. Annie Leibovitz photography though was full of aesthetics even in that photograph. For some of the critics it was very much sensuous for a child.
